Beginning Sunday, October 4, 2026, Exceeding Grace Christian Center will begin holding our Sunday Worship Experience at 9:30 AM instead of 10:30 AM. This one-hour shift is part of our ongoing commitment to serve our church family well while creating greater opportunities for worship, fellowship, service, and rest. We are excited about this new chapter and look forward to seeing you each Sunday morning at our new time.
We encourage everyone to arrive about 20 minutes early to enjoy fellowship, check in children, find seating, and prepare your heart for worship.
Why the Change?
Moving our service to 9:30 AM offers several benefits for our church family, including:
- More time for family. An earlier service allows you to enjoy the rest of your Sunday with family and friends.
- More opportunities to serve. Volunteers can complete their ministry responsibilities earlier while still having much of the day available.
- Better planning for the week ahead. You’ll have additional time Sunday afternoon to prepare for work, school, and the coming week.
- A fresh start to the day. Beginning your morning in worship helps establish a Christ-centered focus for the entire week.
- Greater flexibility for outreach and ministry. Earlier dismissal creates opportunities for community outreach, fellowship events, discipleship, and ministry meetings.
We can’t wait to worship with you at 9:30 AM beginning Sunday, October 4, 2026. We look forward to seeing you there!
How to Make the Transition
Adjusting to a new schedule takes a little planning, but a few simple changes can make arriving on time easy.
1. Update Your Calendar
Change all recurring reminders, phone calendars, planners, and family schedules to reflect our new 9:30 AM service time.
2. Set an Earlier Alarm
Plan to wake up 60 minutes earlier than usual for the first several weeks while you establish a new routine.
3. Prepare on Saturday
Choose your clothes, gather your Bible and other belongings, and make any preparations the night before. A little planning can make Sunday morning much less stressful.
4. Leave Home Earlier
Give yourself extra travel time. Leaving just 10-15 minutes earlier than usual can help account for traffic, parking, and unexpected delays.
5. Aim to Arrive by 9:15 AM
Rather than planning to arrive at 9:30, make 9:15 AM your personal goal. This allows time to greet others, check in children, settle into your seat, and prepare your heart before worship begins.
Let’s Start Strong!
For the first several weeks after the change, make it a family goal to arrive early. Encourage one another, remind friends of the new time, and help us spread the word. Together, let’s begin this new season with enthusiasm, expectation, and excellence.
